The Bombay High Court has upheld the life sentence awarded by the lower court to a 26-year-old man who murdered his friend following a row over a wristwatch.
Citing lack of evidence, the Sessions court here on Wednesday acquitted a man accused of raping his step daughter.
Bombay High Court has held that in a murder case based on circumstantial evidence, conviction can be imposed on an accused even if the motive for the killing is not established.
