Smog continued to blanket China`s north and central regions for the third day today, prompting the National Meteorological Centre (NMC) to issue a yellow alert for air pollution.
Heavy rains will lash China Monday when typhoon Sanba makes landfall, the meteorological authority said.
The Chinese capital was blanketed by spring snow on Sunday, a day after heavy smog grounded hundreds of flights in the country`s north.
