A pension system thrown open to all citizens of the country could draw just Rs 3.5 crore from over 2,000 accounts in more than five months of its introduction.
Lack of tax incentives and inadequate awareness about the New Pension System (NPS) has resulted in only 1,109 subscribers filing their applications as on July 31.
The government on Tuesday said that more than five lakh people have subscribed to its New Pension Scheme (NPS) till June-end.
