Norway`s Ambassador to India on Sunday refused to comment on the case of the two Indian children who were entrusted to the care of their uncle by a Norwegian court and were now staying in India.
Sagarika Chakrabarty has complained to Kulti police station in Burdwan, alleging that her father-in-law, Ajay Bhattacharya, had sent some goons to threaten to kill her if she came near the children.
Abhigyan (3) and Aishwarya (1), the two kids who were forcibly taken away from their parents - an NRI couple - and put under foster care by Norwegian authorities nearly 13 months ago, are expected to meet their uncle on Wednesday.
India is "closely monitoring" the progress in the NRI children custody row, External Affairs Minister SM Krishna said on Thursday.
