More than 3,000 protesters took to the streets of the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Saturday to demand President Omar Hassan al-Bashir quit, witnesses said, after days of unrest in which dozens of people have been killed.
Sudanese war planes bombed a market in the capital of South Sudan`s oil-producing Unity State on Monday in an attack the southern army called a declaration of war.
The United Nations and the African Union on Thursday urged the leaders of Sudan and South Sudan to convene for talks as soon as possible.
