Seventeen Pakistani fishermen were arrested and two boats were seized off Jakhau coast for illegally crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) and entering the Indian waters, a top officer of the Indian Coast Guard said on Friday.
Independent Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani Nathwani said such a mechanism already exists between India and Sri lanka. India should take up this issue with the newly elected Government of Pakistan, he added.
