Green Tribunal apprehends presence of metal in Coke

After detection of traces of heavy metals like lead and cadmium in discharged effluent samples of Coca-Cola's Jalpaigudi plant, the National Green Tribunal has said the metals "may also be present" in the factory's product and has expressed concern over the possibility.

Coke, Pepsi make changes to avoid cancer warning

Coca-Cola Co. and PepsiCo Inc. are changing the way they make the caramel coloring used in their sodas as a result of a California law that mandates drinks containing a certain level of carcinogens bear a cancer warning label.
