Jammu and Kashmir police has been pulled up by the CAG for its failure to implement Crime and Criminal Tracking Networking and Systems (CCTNS) and Common Integrated Police Application (CIPA) projects, which was to be completed by 2011-12, in every police stations of the state.
In view of serious concerns about women security, the Centre on Monday said it was trying to ensure deployment of police women in all police stations across the country rather than having all-women police stations.
In what seems to spell more danger for Ukraine, pro-Russian activists have upped the ante against the government and seized police stations in few eastern cities like Kramatorsk, Sloviansk and Donetsk, said reports.
Seven new police stations will
be set up in Ghaziabad district and three SP level officers
along with 3,000 constables will be deployed at the booths for
smooth functioning of the department, a senior officer said.
