For two consecutive days millions of people in India suffered from a crippling power crisis after power grids failed in many parts of the country.
Power Minister Veerappa Moily has restructured the expert panel appointed by his predecessor Sushilkumar Shinde to look into the massive failure of power transmission grids.
POSOCO said that a "similar incident at 1510 hours on July 29 had also led to a near miss situation."
Rejecting the Centre`s claim that states were to be blamed for the power crisis, CM Akhilesh Yadav said it was not right to blame UP for the blackout.
300 trains came to a grinding halt at various places this afternoon due to failure of both the Northern and the Eastern grids covering close to 10 states, with movement on the busy Delhi-Howrah route almost paralysed.
