Around 80 percent or 28 lakh of the total consumers in the city will benefit from the power subsidy announced by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday while presenting the Delhi budget for the current fiscal.
With free water and power subsidy announced by the AAP government coming to an end in Delhi, both BJP and Congress on Tuesday accused former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of "betraying" people by not making any provision to continue the relief.
In a big jolt to Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi High Court stayed the decision taken by the former government of giving subsidy to persons who did not pay their power bills from October 2012 to December 2013.

extend supply of subsidized power to agricultural consumers.
