The PPP ministers in the coalition
government in Pakistan`s politically crucial Punjab province
are set to be ejected from their posts following Governor
Latif Khosa`s approval of the PML-N`s proposal to remove them.
A senior leader of the ruling
Pakistan People`s Party has criticised the government of
Punjab province for allegedly facilitating and supporting the
Jamaat-ud-Dawah, blamed by India for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The opposition PML-Q in
Pakistan`s Punjab has in a startling claim alleged that the
PML-N, which rules the central province, broke dykes and spurs
to protect land of powerful politicians in flood-hit areas.
The Punjab government has turned down the request for transfer of Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, on death row for carrying out a bomb blast in 1993, from Tihar jail to Amritsar prison, saying it may create law and order problems.
