Cabinet puts off Rail Tariff Authority proposal

Union Cabinet on Wednesday put off a proposal to constitute a Rail Tariff Authority (RTA) which is meant to advise the Railway Ministry on fares, an important reform measure for the cash-strapped public transport system.
