Pakistan`s former premier Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Saturday said a vicious propaganda was launched without any investigation into the allegations against him.
Ashraf has reportedly restrained all ministers, government and public sector offices from offering any ‘favours’ to his family members.
Pakistan seems to have become caught up again in the same tangled web, which had ensnared the last premier, the editorial in The Express Tribune said.
The editorial concluded that Pakistan needs to think about the problem with an open mind at this point in time and logic must dictate what happens next.
The Supreme Court had disqualified Gilani from office for contempt of court after he refused to open graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
