Advani indicated that SC verdict on Ramlila crackdown may be reconsidered on the issue of protesters being denied permission to peacefully agitate.
Yoga guru Ramdev said he was contemplating the possibility of filing an appeal against the SC judgement on the crackdown on his supporters.
In an article, Jaitley said the apex court judgement lays
a "landmark law" as it upholds the right to protest in a
peaceful way as a fundamental right of speech and Assemble.
The apex court on Thursday held yoga guru Ramdev and Delhi Police guilty of negligence that led to chaos at the Ramlila Maidan on June 4-5 last year.
The SC was told that the decision on midnight crackdown on Yoga guru Ramdev
was taken in advance by the Centre.

The bench also questioned the police for lobbing tear gas and water cannons at the enclosed premises to drive out the people.
