India on Monday made it clear that it looks for "much more progress" in the reconciliation process in Sri Lanka while being non-committal on how it will vote at the UN Human Rights Council on a resolution on the country`s alleged rights abuses during the war with Tamil Tiger rebels.
Expressing cautious optimism about the reconciliation process in Sri Lanka, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Tuesday said much will depend on a dialogue between the central government and newly elected Tamil lawmakers.
Fifteen Palestinian factions,
including militant Islamic groups, endorsed a reconciliation
deal on Wednesday meant to end a four-year rift between the two major
Palestinian political movements, Hamas and Fatah.
