Finding the economy and markets back on the recovery path, more than 60 companies are looking to raise an estimated Rs 50,000 crore through sale of shares and awaiting the regulatory nod for the same.
Hospital chain Fortis Healthcare`s
rights issue, through which the company intends to raise up to
Rs 997 crore, opened on Friday.
The country`s largest Liquefied Natural Gas importer, Petronet LNG Ltd, may come out with a USD 100 million follow-up public offer or a rights issue in 2011-12 to part fund a 1,200-MW power plant, to be set up at Dahej in Gujarat.
