SAIL to hold talks with Jharkhand Govt soon on Chiria dispute

The country`s largest steel maker,
SAIL, on Thursday said it will hold talks with the Jharkhand
government soon for resolving the dispute over renewal of four
mines in Chiria.

SAIL, Tata Steel hike prices; others likely to follow

Leading steel makers SAIL and Tata
Steel on Wednesday hiked prices of some of their products by up to Rs
1,500 a tonne on improvement in demand, while their peers are
considering similar options.

Govt mulls stake sale along with IPO in SAIL

The government is considering
divesting some of its stake in the country`s largest steel
producer SAIL and the same may be discussed in the PSU`s board
meeting scheduled on Friday.

SAIL records 14% growth in steel production in July

Steel giant SAIL on Sunday said that it
has registered 14 percent growth in production of steel to
over one million tonnes during July over the year-ago period.

13 youths inducted into SAIL Hockey Academy

Thirteen young cadets from Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Orissa have been inducted into the SAIL Hockey Academy run by the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
