Unable to stomach the idea of
skipping lunch on account of extended hearings into the Satyam
scam case, all six main accused on Tuesday asked the trial court here to permit them to have their food during the court`s lunch break.
The Supreme Court Tuesday cancelled the bail plea of B Ramaliga Raju and five others in the Satyam fraud case. The former estranged chief of Satyam Computer Services will now have to surrender to the police by November 8.
The CBI, probing the multi-crore
accounting scam in Satyam Computers, today informed a local
court that there was enough evidence against the 10 accused in
the case and the court can frame charges against them.
B Ramalinga Raju, the founder of
Satyam computers and main accused in the Satyam accounting
fraud case, appeared before a local court for the second time
Thursday after being granted bail by the Andhra Pradesh High
Price Waterhouse auditor Srinivas
Talluri, arrested in Satyam fraud case for allegedly conniving
with its founder B Ramalinga Raju and other aides, has moved
the Supreme Court seeking bail in the matter.
The CBI, which is probing the
alleged multi-crore financial fraud in Satyam Computers, on Wednesday
strongly objected to the petition of former MD Rama Raju
seeking permission to use laptops inside the jail.
The Delhi-based franchise of audit
firm PricewaterhouseCoopers on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court seeking quashing of proceedings initiated against it by
the government in the aftermath of Satyam scam.
The government has formed a committee with representations from market regulator Sebi, CBI and Enforcement Directorate to expedite investigation in the over Rs 10,000-crore accounting scam in IT firm Satyam Computer.
