Two traffic policemen were injured in an attack by truck drivers after they intervened in a quarrel between truckers and a biker in southeast Delhi, police said on Friday.
The capital has witnessed a record number of prosecutions for drunk driving in the first nine months of this year itself.
Over 2,000 people were killed in road accidents in the national capital last year with police Thursday claiming that they have the lowest number of fatal accidents in the past seven years.
Despite 15,954 drunken driving prosecutions this year, the maximum in the last ten years, Delhi Police Wednesday said that the number of violations had dropped drastically due to stepped up checking and prosecutions.
