The driver of a school bus that overturned, killing eight children and injuring 32 others, has been arrested for allegedly causing the casualties, state media reported today.
At least 15 people, including 13 children, were killed when a bus carrying students on a trip to the seaside collided with a lorry in eastern Thailand Friday, police said.
Traffic accidents with high death tolls are common in South Africa, and are often blamed on negligent drivers and badly maintained roads.
In the disaster, a bus rolled some 100 meters from the highway and plunged in the Trishuli river about 80 kilometres west of Kathmandu.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon expressed his sadness over the crash in a message posted on his Twitter account.
