The Delhi High Court Monday directed the Telecommunication Secretary and the MCD
Commissioner to set up a committee comprising technical and
medical experts to inquire about potential health hazards due
to radiation from mobile towers.
In a good news for city traders,
the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Monday said there will
be no sealing of shopping centres for conversion fee dues
before June 30, the last date for the payment of the charges.
The MCD`s planned extensive
sealing action against commercial establishments not paying
conversion charges was deferred in some parts of the city
today as traders lined up in large numbers to submit their

bill without discussion, which will allow a major relief to
several Delhiites at least up to December 2010 from sealing
and demolition of unauthorised shops and houses.
