In view of rising temperatures, authorities on Monday announced 17-day-long summer vacation in all educational institutions including colleges in Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu region from tomorrow.
With the weather office warning continuation of heat-wave condition till May 3 and the mercury level crossing 43 degree Celsius in seven places in Odisha, the state government on Saturday announced summer vacation in schools from May 1.
The Bihar government has directed
all private and government schools in the state to declare
summer vacation and not to open them till further orders due
to the prevailing heat wave condition, official sources said
