Bombay High Court has asked the Maharashtra government to consider afresh the plea of a 1993 Mumbai blasts convict for release on parole.
A TADA court issued an arrest warrant against an associate of Tiger Memon convicted in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case.
The serial blasts of March 1993 were originally planned to take place in April that year and it was to be a countrywide bomb attack but the date was advance on instructions of absconding accused Tiger Memon.
The breakthrough in the 1993 serial blasts investigation was achieved with the recovery of an RDX-laden Maruti van registered in the name of Tiger Memon`s sister-in-law, police said on Thursday.
India has been maintaining that Dawood aides are in Pak and their names figure in the `most wanted` list given by New Delhi to Islamabad.
Tiger Memon is the prime accused in 1993 Mumbai blast case and
an aide of Dawood Ibrahim.
