North Korea on Saturday released a US veteran of the Korean War who had been detained in the country since October for what the Communist regime described as "hostile acts" against it.
Merrill Newman, the 85-year-old US war veteran currently detained by North Korea, had supervised a South Korean guerrillas during the Korean War, ex-members of the group reportedly said.
A study said military suicides have gone up since the beginning of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
