The weather cleared up at most places across Uttarakhand on Saturday giving the much needed pace to relief operations even as efforts were intensified to trace Almora SDM Ajay Arora, who fell into the Mandakini river three days ago.
The director of Uttarakhand Meteorological Center, Anand Sharma, said on Friday that people in the state would expect some relief from rains.
The rising temperature broke the previous century records of 1944 and 1988 touching all-time high of 43.1 degree C in Dehra Dun.
Higher reaches of several areas in Garhwal and Kumaon regions experienced heavy snowfall and the plains were lashed by intermittent rains.
