The Madhya Pradesh government today suggested composition of a sub-committee to decide on safe disposal of 346 tonnes of toxic waste from the Bhopal gas disaster site.
The Supreme Court on Monday pulled up the Centre for not being serious on disposal of toxic waste lying in the defunct Union Carbide India Ltd (UCIL) plant.
Maharashtra government had opposed the proposed disposal
near Nagpur following protest from locals.
