China on Monday said it has "fully considered" the impact of the three dams it plans to built on Brahmaputra river in Tibet and claimed the projects will not affect water flows to India.
China said its proposed dam
on the Brahmaputra river in Tibet is not a `very big one` to
cause concern in India and Bangladesh.
The inflow of water into Himachal Pradesh`s Pong dam again increased marginally Monday due to rainfall.
China has told India it will only carry out `run-of-the-river` projects on the Brahmaputra that will not affect the flow of water, says Water Resources Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal.
A new study by scientists has suggested that in some highly disturbed landscapes, restoration of natural water flows may cause more harm than good, which suggests that reducing the flows can create ecological benefits.
