Hyderabad: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Monday will inaugurate the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad.
The summit, from November 28-30, is being held for the first time in South Asia. Advisor to the US President Ivanka Trump will lead the US contingent to GES.
This is the eighth edition of the GES, the pre-eminent gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters from around the world.
With the theme of 'Women First, Prosperity for All', this will be the first GES in which women are the majority, over 52.5 percent, of the participants.
More than ten countries will be represented by an all-female delegation, including from Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.
A number of leading female voices will speak at various plenaries, breakout sessions, master classes, and workshops, including tennis champion Sania Mirza, Google’s vice president of Next Billion Users Diana Louise Patricia Layfield, and CEO of Afghan Citadel Software Company Roya Mahboob.
Hyderabad is rolling out a red carpet for the guests and a special dinner is being arranged for them.
On the first day, a feast at the Falaknuma Palace hotel on behalf of the central government is being organised and on November 29, 2017, a dinner party will be hosted for the guests by the state government at the Golkonda hotel.
Telugu music and other events will also be organised during dinner, as per reports.
The closing session of GES will bring together key influencers that support, promote and fund women entrepreneurs.
