New Delhi: Tennis world witnessed unbelievable scenes on Thursday when a super-cool iguana invaded tennis court during a Miami Open match between Tommy Haas and Jiri Vesely.

It happened during the final set of the match, which was won by Vesely 7-6 (5), 3-6, 5-7. The match was, however, stopped for several minutes as the iguana climbed on the top of the baseline scoreboard.

Hass, despite the defeat, was certainly proud to have a selfie with the reptile. Talking about the incident, and that selfie, the German said, “I thought it was an interesting picture to take. Especially that my career is almost over.”

After failed attempts from court staff, the lizard jumped down and ran to the opposite side of the court, before climbing on another scoreboard.
