Three robbers, wanted in over 150 cases, arrested in Ghaziabad

Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar told the media that the Monday night arrests followed a tip that led police to check vehicles near the EDM Mall in Kaushambi close to the Delhi border.

Ghaziabad: Three criminals who pursued people who withdrew money from ATMs and robbed them have been arrested here, police said on Tuesday.

The three criminals tried to escape on a motorcycle and a van but were chased and arrested, the officer said. 

During interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in over 150 crimes. 

The police have seized Rs 1.80 lakh in cash, four mobile phones, a video camera, a laptop, a bag of electronic gadgets, three motorcycles, a SUV and a country-made pistol. 

The three men -- identified as Mohan Singh, Pramod and Badal of Meerut -- had cases of heinous nature filed against them in Ghaziabad, Noida and Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatpur in Rajasthan and in Tamil Nadu.
