Lucknow: Setting an example for hundreds of women becoming victim of eve-teasing incidents, a teenager thrashed her molesters with a police baton in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow.

The incident, which took place near city's Gautam Pali Police Station on Sunday, was caught on camera.

The incident took place after a teenager was being teased by some bike-borne men.

The bike-borne men allegedly followed the teenager and her friends and made lewd remarks while she was riding a scooter.

As per ANI, upset with their act, the lady borrowed a stick from a security guard and thrashed the alleged eve-teasers herself as no passerby offered any help. 

Ironically, the place where the shocking incident took place is known as 1090 crossing, the office of Women Police helpline. 

The video shows the girl, dressed in a cream coloured coat and blue denim, is thrashing more than one man with a stick. 

A lot of people, who are acting as mere on-lookers, can also be seen offering no help to the lady.

However, another woman is seen consoling the girl as she is furiously taking the harassers into account.

The incident comes a day after BJP’s Yogi Adityanath was sworn-in as the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. 

BJP had prominently taken up the issue of increased number of crime against women in the state and vowed to take strict action against the offenders. 

Party chief Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi had expressed serious concerns over a steep rise in crimes against women during the Samajwadi Party rule.
