Lucknow: It's a tell-all interview of a politician who is known for his bold decisions and statements.

BJP's firebrand leader and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday spoke on a number issues during an exclusive interview with Zee News Editor Sudhir Chaudhary.

Slamming previous governments for ruining UP, he said, "Past governments have looted the state, UP lost a lot in the past 15 years."

Talking about his 'anti-Muslim' image (as shown in some sections of media), Yogi said that after he became UP CM, the media got to know about his style of functioning and then started praising him and making programs on his lifestyle.

"2017 UP Assembly elections proved that there is no room for casteism and religion based politics in the state," Yogi said.

"I don't care about all these anti-Muslim allegations, we will keep working on development agenda," he added.

At the same time, the UP maintained that his government will release a report card on completion of 100 days.

"My government is dedicated for public welfare and I will make UP a crime free state, also now public has faith in government," Yogi pointed out.

Talking about Mathura murder case, the UP CM said that earlier criminals used to get protection from politicians but now the situation had changed.

Yogi also spoke about Saharanpur clashes.

"The problem has been identified, only final operation needs to be done," Yogi said hinting at some big breakthrough in the caste-based clashes of Saharanpur.

"Now, in my government, there is no space for criminals," he emphasised, adding, "Earlier, there was no hearing of public by police machinery but now police cooperates and helps common man."

Taking a dig at the previous Akhilesh government, Yogi said, "When I came CM house, there was not even any furniture here."

"Akhilesh inaugurated metro but even fare was not decided. Akhilesh inaugurated cancer hospital however it had no bed," he went on to say.

Talking on the triple talaq issue, Yogi said,"It's a big issue and Centre has clarified its stand and it will be taken care of."

Praising PM Narendra Modi's 'sabka saath, sabka vikaas', he said, "Indians are so fortunate that we've Modi ji as PM."

Laughing at the formation of mahagathbandhan (grand alliance), Yogi was of the view that "public will teach them a strong lesson."

On a lighter note, the UP CM told Zee News Editor Sudhir Chaudhary that nowadays he was not getting even 4-5 hour sleep in a day.

Also, Yogi made it clear that he had no ambition of becoming PM.
