Holy dip on Mauni Amavasya
Amidst high security cover, lakhs of devotees on Sunday reached the bathing ghats here for a holy dip on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, considered the holiest day of the ongoing 55-day Maha Kumbh festival at the holy Sangam. Scores of ascetics descended in the Ganges in the early morning hours braving the chilly cold.
