The BJP has released its first list of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
BJP's first list has a total of 51 candidates from Uttar Pradesh.
Of these 51 candidates, 44 are repeat candidates. This include Gautam Buddha Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma as well.
The party has fielded new candidates on four seats that it lost in 2019.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from the Varanasi for the third time.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow and Ajay Mishra Teni from Kheri are among the contenders.
The party has also given a ticket to BSP leader Ritesh Pandey who joined the saffron party recently.
BJP has fielded party leader Praveen Kumar Nishad (son of Sanjay Nishad) from the Sant Kabir Nagar.
Heman Malini has again got ticket from the Mathura seat while Smriti Irani has been fielded again from the Amethi seat.
