Surya Namaskar

Begin your day with a series of Sun Salutations or Surya Namaskar to stretch and strengthen your entire body. This dynamic sequence improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and invigorates the mind.

Vrikshasana

Find balance and stability with the Tree Pose or Vrikshasana. Stand tall on one leg, while placing the sole of the other foot against the inner thigh or calf. This pose strengthens the legs and improves concentration.

Virabhadrasana II

Channel your inner warrior with this powerful pose. Warrior II or Virabhadrasana II strengthens the legs, opens the hips, and builds stamina. Feel strong and confident as you hold this posture.

Trikonasana

Trikonasana is also known as Triangle Pose. Stretch your sides and improve digestion with this pose. Extend one arm down to the shin or floor while reaching the other arm up towards the sky. This pose also relieves stress and improves focus.

Ustrasana

Open your heart and chest with the Ustrasana or Camel Pose. Kneel on the mat, arch your back, and reach for your heels with your hands. This pose stretches the front of the body and boosts energy levels.

Navasana

Strengthen your core and improve balance with Navasana or the Boat Pose. Sit on the mat, lift your legs, and extend your arms parallel to the floor. Engage your abdominal muscles to stay steady in this pose.

Ardha Pincha Mayurasana

Cool down and strengthen your shoulders with the Ardha Pincha Mayurasana or Dolphin Pose. Start in a downward-facing dog position, then lower your forearms to the mat. This pose builds upper body strength and relieves tension.

Bhujangasana

In Bhujangasana or Cobra Pose, open your chest and stretch your spine with the cobra pose. Lie on your stomach, place your palms on the mat under your shoulders, and lift your chest while keeping your elbows close to your body. This pose also helps improve posture.

Paschimottanasana

Paschimottanasana is what we also call Seated Forward Bend. Release tension in your back and hamstrings with the seated forward bend. Sit on the mat, extend your legs, and reach for your feet or shins. Relax into the stretch and breathe deeply.

Savasana

Savasana is also known as Corpse Pose. End your practice with the ultimate relaxation pose. Lie flat on your back, close your eyes, and let go of tension in your body and mind. Stay in this pose for a few minutes to rejuvenate and refresh.

Yoga To Stay Cool

"Practice these yoga poses regularly to stay fit, cool, and energised throughout the summer season. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, these poses will help you maintain your well-being and enjoy the sunny days ahead," says Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar.
