New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Wednesday accused Pakistan of violating the 2003 ceasefire and blamed it for the gruesome killing of two Indian soldiers along the Line of Control.

Speaking here, the minister said that Pakistan is responsible for the attack and it has to answer on the matter.

“We expect them to respond to our concerns,” Khurshid said. He said that a serious message has been conveyed to Pakistan and will wait for direct response from Pakistani authorities, as per reports.

Earlier too, while addressing the press along with visiting Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, Khurshid said that New Delhi was awaiting a response from Pakistan’s civilian government on the gruesome attack.

He said that the Pakistani envoy was summoned today and spoken to in “very strong terms”.

“We have conveyed the protest,” he added.

While the Pakistani Army has dismissed the allegations, the country’s civilian government has yet to respond to the allegations.

Khurshid said non-violation of ceasefire was an integral part of the conventional confidence building measures (CBMs), and added “such actions would adversely impact whatever we have achieved so far in bilateral ties”.

“The manner in which bodies (of Indian soldiers) were treated is a matter of deep concern... this is completely unacceptable,” the minister said.

While stating that the Indian government was awaiting “an appropriate response” from the Pakistan government, Khurshid said “we must ensure the situation is not allowed to escalate further”.

We have a useless government and politicians who can not even speak against this. We are sure this will end up in protesting. No actions will be taken for sure. We are praying god to pull this government as soon as possible. Imagine if this happend with US soldoers? The action will be very different. Ashamed to have such policiand and useless governments.

I can understand that one soldier of Pakistan killed in cross firing. But, I am sure Pakistan might have prompted indian soldiers to retaliate. These attempts are made to hep terrorist movement into indian kasmir. But, entering Indian border and beheading an Indian soldier is a war crime. This can not be justifiable by any means and government Pakistan must react on this...Both countries should try to be in communication and should escalate tensions further in this regard

Give a timeline na Salman Uncle till when will you wait? Are you waiting for Pakistan to develop more deadly weapons so that it can attack India or are you waiting that our Army people should die one by one. What exactly are we waiting for? Does this means being democratic and believing in peace? No it does not mean that. Are we trying to cover our cowardness under these philosophies? Isn`t it a insult for all those SHAHEED soldiers of my nation India that we are not able to demolish terrorists and their activities. Why are we not taking immediate steps and why don`t we once and for all attack Pakistan and finish things like America did? If USA can chase its enemy and punish why can`t we and why the hell are we waiting for other people to give us permission and support.? JUST aim and shoot the missiles and close the chapter forever.
