Giving Punjabi viewers an enlightened perspective of Sikhism and its true values, ‘Ek Onkaar’ – India’s first of its kind devotional-Live-TV-show completes its second year on Zee Punjabi. On this occasion a seminar ‘Dharam Vichar’ was organized in the Zee Auditorium , Noida. Representatives of various sects and religions shared their thoughts on the subject ‘ God is one’. “God is one, Sikhism endorses this belief in its entirety by considering all human beings the extensions of the Almighty and treating them equal irrespective of their caste, creed, colour etc” says Giani Tarsem Singh, Chairman, Dharam Prachar Committee, DSGMC, who is a regular guest and viewer of this devotional show from the very first day it was telecast on Zee Punjabi.
“God is none-the-less but my true self’ is what Satyug Darshan Trust, Faridabad believes in, which was shared by Jai Gogia, a young volunteer, who represented the Trust in this seminar.
“Bringing all the religions at one platform and sharing a common agenda of oneness, the initiative by Zee Punjabi is worth appreciating” says Wasi Ahmed Nomani, President cum Managing Trustee, Kuran Science and Cosmos, Delhi. In his humble submission he added “Whatever Giani Tarsem Singh ji shared today, at no point it appeared to me that whether it belongs to Guru Granth Sahib or Kuran Sharif ,since there are so many similarities between both of them”
The event was a great success as audience comprising of people of all ages and various walks of life took keen interest in it by virtue of being there for more than 2 hours and proactively asking questions to draw understanding of various religion through their representatives present at the event as panelists.
Giani Tarsem Singh, Pastor Febin K. Mathews, Wasi Ahmed Nomani, Acharya Rajbir Gaur and Jai Gogia were the key speakers and Bibi Amarjit Kaur, Leader, Bibi Bhani Kirtani Jattha, Delhi, Dr.Iraq Zaidi, Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia University also shared their perspective in this seminar.
In his thanksgiving note Sanjay Vohra, Editor, Zee Punjabi shared “We launched Ekonkar with an objective to offer a great spiritual and devotional treat for the Punjabi souls finding solace from Sikhism and the response we received from viewers across the globe was overwhelming” adding to it he says “Endorsing oneness, we not only celebrated Sikh festivals through this platform but also celebrated Id, Janmashtami, Christmas and other festivals to spread the cause of international brotherhood and world peace”
The recorded version of the seminar will be telecast in Ekonkar at 5.30 AM and 5.00 PM on 1st June 2012 only on Zee Punjabi.
