Moscow: A thrilling CCTV footage showing a young man jumping on live tracks with trains passing by to save the life of a toddler has gone viral on the social media platform.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the central Russian city of Yekaterinburg when a little boy accidentally fell onto the railway tracks.
The nearly one-minute long footage shows the boy making desperate attempts to get up but eventually failing to do so.
In the footage, few passengers can be seen hesitating to go near the boy and shouting for help when a bystander jumps down and scoops him up.
The rescuer then passes the boy on to others standing on the platform. And, hold your breath, all this happens within a fraction of seconds before a train pulls in.
The video of the young man's daring act, which was posted on YouTube by Live Leak, has become a rage on the Internet, with many hailing anonymous stranger as "another hero in black and white" and some others commenting 'still good people out there.'
The Daily Mail quoted the boy's father as saying, "He does not understand how he fell. He was walking, wanted to call his mother, got distracted by the phone and fell... I would like to find the man to say thanks to him."
