Rani Chatterjee gets brutally trolled for her remarks on Khesari Lal Yadav's Dabang Sarkar

New Delhi: Queen of Bhojpuri cinema Rani Chatterjee has been brutally trolled on the social media after she commented that she doesn't like to watch films of Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua, Khesari Lal Yadav and Pawan Singh.

It was during an interview when Rani was asked about her views on Khesari's recent released 'Dabang Sarkar' and the actress said that she doesn't watch films of Bhojpuri stars — Khesari, Nirahua and Pawan Singh. She said she is tired of watching the same faces again and again and hence do not watch their films.

She said that Pradeep Pandey Chintu's 'Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna' was the last Bhojpuri film she has watched all these while. "I do not follow Bhojpuri films and trailers. It is not that I do not see Bhojpuri movies at all. Whenever a good film is released, I definitely watch it."

However, her statement created a rage on the social media after which many users slammed the actress. There were some who began abusing her and even asked other to boycott her films completely.

Following the uproar on her statement, Rani left a post on her Facebook account, saying, "'This post is for those special people who comment anything in the name of being a fan. In an interview, I said that I do not watch Dinesh ji, Khesari ji or Pawan ji's films. However, this statement created an unnecessary argument and some of fans began using abusive language against me. I ask them, what's bad about it? Have you guys ever asked these actors if they watch all the Bhojpuri films. No. Because they don't have time. And that's what I meant."

On the work front, the actress recently began dubbing for her upcoming project 'Bemisaal Khiladi'. Directed by Deepak Tripathi, the film features Rani and Rajinikanth Shukla in lead roles.
