Dowry HORROR! Woman burnt alive by in-laws in BIhar`s Nawada, succumbs to injuries
A 20-year-old woman, who was allegedly burnt by her in-laws for dowry, succumbed to her injuries today at Sadar hospital here, police said.
Nawada: A 20-year-old woman, who was allegedly burnt by her in-laws for dowry, succumbed to her injuries today at Sadar hospital here, police said.
The incident took place yesterday at Gulzarbagh locality where the woman was allegedly set on fire by her in-laws over dowry, Roh police station SHO Dharmendra Kumar said.
The police has registered an FIR against woman's mother-in-law and three brothers in-law at Roh police station.
In his complaint, father of the woman alleged that she was set afire after the family could not fulfill the dowry demands of 20 grams of gold and Rs one lakh cash, police said.
The SHO said all the accused are absconding and investigation is underway.
