New Delhi: Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan's 'Bharat' has been making headers ever since it was announced. The film, that was earlier supposed to have Priyanka Chopra on board, is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. After Priyanka's sudden exit, Katrina was roped in to play the lead role. 'Bharat' has an ensemble star cast with the likes of Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Nora Fatehi and Aashif Sheikh playing pivotal roles.

The film is set in the backdrop of India in the 1940s and will take us through the events during the country’s partition. Not just that, the film will showcase significant events over a period of 70 years since partition, reports suggest.
The film will mark Salman and Zafar's third collaboration. The duo has already delivered two blockbusters – Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
'Bharat' is an official Hindi remake of South Korean film Ode to My Father.
Most of Salman Khan's films in the recent past have hit the theatres on the occasion of Eid, and this one will be no different. The film will hit the screens on Eid 2019.
