Mumbai: The much awaited trailer of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be unveiled today. The film is a sequel to 2012 Eid blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan.
The film has been shot at exotic locations across five countries and each of these destinations has a significant role to play in the narrative.
The cast and crew braved extreme weather conditions to shoot for crucial segments in the spy-thriller which revolves around the Tiger an Indian and Zoya, a Pakistani intelligence officer.
"To meet the scale of the film, we had to travel to four different countries for different reasons. Certain landscapes needed to become a part of the film, so we had to go to Austria to get the snow-covered mountains. We also had to go to Morocco to feature crucial fight sequences of horseback riding. The country's landscape and topography brings a certain texture to these sequences," Zafar said in a statement.
"It also has horses trained for some fight sequences, as many Hollywood films like Troy and Mummy Returns. Greece was absolutely picturesque and was the perfect location to shoot the celebratory anthem ‘Swag se karenge sabka swagat'.
Filmmaker Zafar is mighty impressed by the efforts put by Katrina. Talking about her dedication and commitment towards her craft, Zafar said, “Katrina has really pushed herself for the part. She has also gone the extra mile to train in important nuances like aggressive hand-to-hand combat. The action that Katrina has done looks very real onscreen, despite being mounted on a grand scale.”
Slated to release on December 22, Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the most anticipated films of the year primarily because Salman Khan’s previous release- Tubelight – proved to be a dismal failure at the Box Office this Eid.
