New Delhi: Not many people know that Salman Khan's last year release 'Tubelight' was initially titled as 'Mental'. However, then, director Kabir Khan was not too convinced with the title and hence changed the name to 'Tubelight'.
In fact, 2014 released 'Jai Ho' was also originally meant to be titled 'Mental'.
According to a Times of India report, Khan brother - Salman and Sohail apparently seem to be upset with Ekta Kapoor for keeping the title of her next project 'Mental Hai Kya'. The film stars Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles and the first look of the film was recently shared by the maker.
The report said that the both Salman and Sohail are apparently not too pleased with Ekta's decision to use the title for her film. Furthermore, what annoyed them, even more, was that Ekta did not even speak to any of them before choosing the title.
As per the report, Sohail was keen on using the title for one of his projects in the future.
A Deccan Chronicle report said that the title had been registered by Salman and Sohail for the longest time.
'Mental Hai Kya' is a quirky thriller revolving around mental illnesses and hallucinations which will be directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Prakash Rao Kovelamudi. It is written by Kanika Dhillon.
Both Kangana and Rajkummar Rao would be teaming up again after their last film 'Queen'.
Earlier in a press release, Ekta had said, "Mental Ha Kya celebrates beauty in imperfections and in being different and shouts out, Sanity is overrated! I'm thrilled to work with Kangana and Raj on this one."
