Sui Dhaaga: Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma wrap up first schedule of film

The film is set to hit the screens on September 28 during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend

New Delhi: Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, who are currently shooting for Sui Dhaaga, wrapped up the first schedule of the film.

Both the actor took to Twitter to announce the news. Varun also extended his gratitude to the police and government of Chanderi for their support. 

"Wrapped in chanderi. Had such a beautiful time shooting with these people in this beautiful place. Thank you to police and government for making our stay and shoot smooth. Back soon to launch the trailer of #October," he tweeted.

It is to be noted that both Varun and Anushka had been shooting for the film in Madhya Pradesh's Chanderi. The next schedule would take place in Bhopal. 

Anushka too expressed her joy of shooting in Chanderi and said she would miss the place as the shooting has come to an end. "Watching the sunrise & sunset in Chanderi is one of my most cherished moments in life! Will miss it now that the shoot here comes to an end. Next stop.. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, 'Sui Dhaaga' is set to hit the screens on September 28 during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. The film is directed by Sharat Katariya, who previously helmed 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'. 

Meanwhile, Varun would be heading back to Mumbai where he would spend his next few days promoting his upcoming movie 'October'. The film has been directed by Shoojit Sircar and also features newbie Banita Sandhu. Though not much is known about the movie, reports have claimed that the film would be an unusual love story. The first trailer of the film will be out on March 12.
