Mumbai: In forthcoming film ‘Aiyyaa’, Rani Mukerji plays a girl whose parents are desperate to get her married. The actress says all girls who are in this soup, including her, can identify with her character, Meenakshi Deshpande.
"I think `Aiyyaa` character Meenakshi Deshpande is such that every girl, whose parents are trying to get her married, will identify with her. Even I, to some extent, identify with this character," the 34-year-old said here.
Rani plays a Maharashtrian girl in the movie, in which she falls for a man who smells good.
In the movie, releasing in October, Rani will be seen grooving to three different dance styles - lavani, belly dancing and Tollywood-style.
She enjoyed them all.
"For me, shooting the songs of `Aiyyaa` have been very memorable. Every song is special and different. One song has belly dancing, the other is Tollywood-style dancing, another is a lavani.
"So I enjoyed them, I had never done belly dancing before but I learnt it for this film. Then I also learnt lavani, and Tollywood dancing is a masti dance," she added.
‘Aiyyaa’ is directed by Sachin Kundalkar, and features actor Prithviraj opposite Rani.
