Los Angeles: Singer Chris Brown has met parents and children affected by domestic violence during an event he co-hosted with the NGO Jenesse Center.
"It`s in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me they were right to give me another chance. I`m working hard to make them proud," digitalspy.co.uk quoted Brown as saying.
Brown was convicted of assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Speaking of their work with Brown and his mother Joyce Hawkins, herself a victim of domestic violence, Jenesse founder Karen Earl said: "Chris and his mom have spent many quiet hours at our facilities, no cameras, no special attention or entourages."
Brown`s work with the organisation apparently dates back to 2009.
