Banglore: Infosys has reported a net profit of Rs 3,606 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, up 6.12 percent against Rs 3,398 crore in the same period last year.


On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the net profit was up 4.94 percent against Rs 3,436 crore in June quarter.


Infosys, the second largest domestic IT firm by sales, however, lowered its revenue guidance (constant currency) for FY17 to 8-9 percent against 10.5-12 percent forecast earlier. Dollar revenue guidance was lowered to 7.5-8.5 percent from 10-11.5 percent earlier.


Infosys Ltd has informed BSE that the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on October 14, 2016, inter alia, has declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 11 per equity share.


The company's revenue stood at Rs 17,310 crore against Rs 6,782 crore in June quarter, up 3.14 percent.


In the September quarter last fiscal, the revenue stood at Rs 15,635 crore, showing a growth of 10.71 percent.


The company added 78 new clients in Q2 FY17, taking the total client count to 1,136.
