Indian diplomat`s paintings on show

Lochan inaugurated an exhibition of paintings by Indian diplomat.

New Delhi: The director of the National Gallery of Modern Art, Rajeev Lochan, Friday inaugurated an exhibition of paintings by Indian diplomat Abhay Kumar. The exhibition, under the theme "We Have Come Far", will run till April 29 at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in the capital.
The ceremony was also attended by Navdeep Suri, joint secretary (Public Diplomacy) in the ministry of external affairs. The exhibition, curated by art critic Suneet Chopra, is Abhay Kumar`s first in Delhi. He had earlier displayed his works in Paris and St. Petersburg. Talking about the inspiration behind the paintings, Kumar said: "Whatever be our individual, social or other interests, we should not forget that we have only one cosmic home, Earth." IANS
