New Delhi: Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the US boy band `The Jonas Brothers`, who juggles between music and acting, says he works best under pressure.
The 22-year-old pop star features in the hit TV sitcom `JONAS`, which is based on the the life of the brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin and their band.
The show will premiere on Disney Channel in India on November 30.
The 22-year-old rocker said he would memorize his lines just before going on the sets to film it.
"I look at my lines, typically, before I walk to the set to film it. Not everybody does that, but I do. I became really good at memorising my lines quickly and under pressure. I think being under pressure helps me," Kevin told reporters.
The young star insists that this unpreparedness goes well with his onscreen character.
"My character doesn`t typically know what`s going on all the time, so I thought maybe my character would like to not know what he`s going to have to say either, so I kind of just go with it. He goes over the top with everything he does," Kevin said.
The Jonas Brothers shot to fame with their self-titled second album in 2007 and have become the current rage as young boy-banders, so much so that Disney decided to go ahead with a sitcom based on them.
"This is a really fun way to look at the Jonas` in a new kind of way. It`s us in typical high school and what we would go through if we were the band as well as just going to a regular school, which we don`t do currently," said Kevin.
The brothers not only act in the sitcom, the songs featuring in it are composed by them too.
"Joe, Nick and I are actually writing the songs for the show, so all of the songs you`ll hear are songs that we`ve written or had a part in and we`ll be singing. We have the music and the acting together. It is really fun," he said.
This is not the first time that the brothers will be seen acting instead of making music. They have earlier guest starred in an episode of Miley Cyrus` `Hannah Montana` and filmed a Disney Channel Original Movie called `Camp Rock` where they play a band called `Connect Three`.
"Acting is where everyone actually got started. We started with commercials before music, so it`s always been fun to do. But really, music is our core base and the greatest thing ever for us. But this is another way for us to reach out to our fans," said Kevin.
The show also features Frankie Jonas, Kevin`s young brother.
"We definitely wanted Frankie to be a part of the show and so did Disney. They thought it`d be a great element to add. And who knows, we may see a future spin off for Frankie later in life," said Kevin.
