London: Rihanna teamed up with several Chelsea players on Sunday night in London following the club’s European Cup victory. The Umbrella singer, 24, cosied up to Blues hitman Didier Drogba, 34, and posted a photo with him on Twitter, the Daily Star reported.
Drogba scored in the nerve-racking final and his decisive penalty stuffed German favourites Bayern Munich on Saturday night.
And star-struck Ri was heard crying: “I love you guys,” at the Boujis nightclub in Kensington, west London, where the triumphant squad finished off two nights of wild celebrations.
She later Tweeted pictures of herself cuddling up to the married dad-of-three, commenting: “THEE DIDIER DROGBA #thereisaGod.”
According to a source, the 24-year-old singer was so keen to meet the striker and his team-mates that she had one of her lackey call him over to her table.
It came after Didier and the rest of the squad toasted their remarkable penalty shootout victory at Bayern’s Allianz Arena with an all-night boozathon in Munich.
They celebrated in the hotel’s rooftop garden, with quite a few players spending all night beside the pool.
At 5.30am on Sunday defender Gary Cahill, 26, was still spotted wearing his shirt, trousers and winner’s medal.
Staff had to wake many of them from their slumber to make their morning flight back to London. Then followed an open-top bus parade through west London, where thousands of jubilant Blues fans lined the streets to cheer their idols.
The celebrations went on at restaurant Nozomi and later in posh club Boujis, when the players hooked up with party girl Rihanna.
She had missed her flight back to the US on Sunday morning, and instead headed to London’s O2 Arena in the evening to catch a performance by Kanye West, 34, and Jay-Z, 42. Rihanna was invited to join them on stage as they performed the third sell-out night of their ‘Watch The Throne’ tour.
“#RihannaNAVi made historih tonight as the first person to ‘Watch The Throne’ AND join it!!! No one is allowed on that stage! Thank u guys,” she tweeted
Wearing a black crop top, matching trousers and a beanie hat, she belted out ‘All of The Lights’ and ‘Run This Town’ with the hip-hop singers.
She arrived at the venue by helicopter, stepping out in a sleeveless top with the word “Rich” decorated across the chest.
Rihanna then defied critics who say her party-mad lifestyle is getting out of hand by heading to Boujis to join the Chelsea stars.
“Interesting night!” she tweeted in the wee hours of yesterday.
The Bajan beauty’s recent blowout came just days after she was admitted to hospital and attached to a drip after apparently collapsing.
